Description

Hydration is not a background variable, it’s a hard limiter on physical and mental performance.

As fluid and electrolytes are lost, output deteriorates before dehydration is noticeable. Strength, endurance, and mental clarity all decrease and water alone doesn’t correct this. Fluid balance depends on electrolyte availability to maintain blood volume, support cellular hydration, and sustain muscular function.

Drench addresses the deficit before it limits output.
The formula is built around performance physiology, not sweat replication. Sweat composition varies significantly between individuals, making it an unreliable formulation basis. The electrolyte profile is potassium dominant to bias intracellular hydration and runs at a 1.8:1 potassium to sodium ratio. Sodium is kept intentionally modest. Dietary intake typically covers baseline requirements, making high-dose sodium supplementation unnecessary for most training contexts.

Compound Scope
Hydration failure during training is a regulation problem. High intake does not guarantee effective hydration when the underlying regulatory mechanisms are compromised.
Performance depends on how efficiently fluid is retained, distributed, and utilised.
Drench covers fluid retention, plasma volume, intracellular hydration, electrolyte balance, and neuromuscular signalling.
System Integration
Drench functions as the hydration layer within the Endgame Performance Systems.

It integrates across the full system, ensuring hydration does not become a limiting factor regardless of what else is running.

Plasma Volume & Extracellular FluidSubsystem 01/03

Establishes extracellular fluid volume, which determines fluid availability.

  • Sodium drives extracellular fluid retention and plasma volume expansion
  • Plasma volume influences cardiovascular efficiency and sweat capacity under heat and physical stress

The fluid foundation that everything else depends on.

Cellular Hydration & Fluid DistributionSubsystem 02/03

Drives fluid into the cell rather than leaving it in extracellular space where it contributes less to contraction and performance.

  • Potassium shifts fluid from the extracellular environment into the cell where it can be utilised
  • Intracellular hydration influences cell volume, contraction strength, and muscular endurance

Hydration that reaches the muscle rather than sitting in the space around it.

Neuromuscular Function & Contraction ControlSubsystem 03/03

Maintains the electrolyte balance required for muscular contraction and relaxation during extended training.

  • Electrolyte balance governs the electrical activity responsible for muscular contraction and relaxation
  • Depletion of key minerals disrupts contraction timing, increases cramping risk, and reduces contraction quality under fatigue
  • Stable neuromuscular communication keeps contraction and relaxation cycles precise under fatigue

Controlled, consistent muscular output under fatigue without loss of contraction quality.

Design Intent - Drench

02
Drench is a performance hydration formula supporting fluid handling, electrolyte availability, and neuromuscular function.  Fluid handling is determined by absorption, distribution, and utilisation of water and electrolytes.

Constraint & Trade-Off Logic - Drench

03
Dosing is defined by functional effectiveness rather than theoretical replacement of sweat loss.  Sweat composition varies significantly between individuals and conditions, so no attempt is made to mirror sweat composition.  - Ingredient selection is restricted to functional hydration and electrolyte balance.  - Non-essential flavouring or lifestyle-oriented components are excluded.  - Excessive mineral loading is avoided to preserve tolerability.  - Performance relevance is prioritised over recreational appeal.  - Ingredients unrelated to hydration function (such as stimulants, cognitive compounds, or novelty ingredients) are excluded.

Misinterpretation & Failure Modes - Drench

04
Misclassification: “electrolyte loading = better hydration” Hydration is often reduced to increasing sodium or total electrolyte intake, with sodium commonly treated as the main driver of hydration.  Hydration depends on fluid balance and distribution across extracellular and intracellular compartments, not electrolyte load alone.  Misclassification: “hydration = fluid intake” Hydration is treated as fluid consumption but depends on fluid retention, distribution, and utilisation.  Misuse: applying endurance hydration logic These products are typically formulated for prolonged depletion or extreme conditions which is not how they are most regularly used.  Drench is structured for performance conditions rather than recovery from extreme dehydration.  Misclassification: “intra-workout hybrid” Products are often combined with carbohydrates, amino acids, or additional performance inputs.  This system remains a dedicated hydration structure. No carbohydrates or additional performance inputs are included. Fluid handling, electrolyte balance, and neuromuscular function remain the primary focus.

System Role Justification - Drench

05
Drench functions as the hydration component within Performance Systems.  - Intended for use where hydration influences performance output  - Not a clinical rehydration solution  - Does not replace baseline fluid intake
